Kelly Moneymaker

Producer/Director/Writer/Sound Designer

Award-Winning Alaskan filmmaker (VAKA documentary) and multi-platinum-selling music artist (former member of Exposé), Kelly’s multi-ethnic roots inspired her to found Drum Song Films to uplift other local storytellers for authentic representation. Kelly has a BA of Creative Media Production (Scholar Award) and an MA of Creative Enterprise (with Distinction) from Massey University Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa, with a focus on Indigenous research frameworks and methodologies for creative technology.

Tom Trainor

Director of Photography/Field Producer

Tom was raised in Nome and Unalakleet, Alaska by his mom and Native step-dad, so he’s well-acquainted with the village lifestyle. He is an Emmy Award Nominated Director of Photography, Field Producer, and Editor. He is known for his work on Discovery’s “Deadliest Catch”, National Geographic’s “Alaska State Troopers”, Animal Planet’s “Into Alaska”, and TLC’s “90-Day Fiancé”. Tom’s other credits include: “Coast Guard Alaska”, “Forged in Fire”, “Bering Sea Gold” and “Awake Surgery” for TLC.

Dennis Davis

Production Coordinator/Camera + Drone

Dennis Davis is a Shishmaref Native advocate and creative whose photographs have been commissioned by The Smithsonian Institute and his drone work has been featured in docuserials, films, and websites for the BBC, Discovery, Nat-Geo, Alaska Federation of Natives and more. Dennis is also a Master Hunter who highlights traditional Native foods with globally-inspired flavors.

Gabe Derrick

Editor/Cinematographer/Field Producer

Gabriel Derrick is known across interior Alaska for his outdoor adventure-based cinematography (while split-boarding, paragliding or ice-climbing), his excellent commercial work, music festival organization and being a UAF Frame Program mentor. He joins the Drum Song team as a Cinematographer, Editor, and Field Producer. Gabe’s family roots begin in Nome and he was raised in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Amber Webb

Art Director/Ink + Textile Artist/Storyteller

Amber Webb is an Award-Winning Yup’ik Artist/Activist from Curyung/Dillingham, Alaska. After graduating from UAA in with a BA in woven fibers and a minor in history, she created a 12-ft. qaspeq to honor Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) in North America. Her work visually explores the effects of colonization and the evolution and strength of Indigenous people after genocide and intergenerational trauma through portraiture and textiles.

Moretekorohunga Hapimana Lloyd

Animator/Illustrator/Editor

Moretekorohunga (More) is an Animator/Illustrator from Wellington, New Zealand. More earned his BA of Creative Media Production from from Massey University Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa, and gained industry experience at Storybox NZ before joining the Drum Song Films team. He is proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and his Native language, Te Reo Māori.
